My name is Michael Scutt and I am a solicitor in private practice in the City of London. I write the Jobsworth blog on employment law.
I am also writing more and more about the Legal Services Act 2007 and the Tesco Law debate, which is why I started “Trouble Ahead” to differentiate it from my existing blog.
From time to time I also give lectures on the LSA – details will appear on this blog and on my Facebook page. You can follow me on Twitter = @michaelscutt
I am also a member of the UK Lawyers Network, an online forum for UK lawyers active in social media and I set up “UK BlawgRoundUp”, a quarterly review of UK legal blogs.
If you want to get in contact please leave a comment on the blog or email me at michaelscutt@dalelangley.co.uk
Hi Mike,
firms that want to remain independent and profitable in this changing environment need to grasp the nettle and MARKET THEMSELVES HARD.
There is so much expertise locked up in so many firms – it is perfect marketing content to share on the social web (where clients and prospects hang out, even if partners don’t want to beleive it).
I blogged about the very topic the other day http://www.buzzedup.co.uk/index.php/2010/06/08/tesco-law-leaves-firms-staring-down-the-barrel-of-a-gun/
